BMW R Nine T Pure

The R NineT Pure model screams nostalgia, bringing back the emotions associated with the very first two-wheeler design from BMW Motorrad. What’s unique about this city roadster is the compact design at the front that further narrows as one moves to the rear tail. The bike comes in five different trim options, like teal metallic blue, metallic mineral grey, option 719 aluminum, metallic black storm, and raging red, and metallic cosmic blue with light white shades. So, riders will have full discretion in choosing any model as per their color preferences.

In the front fascia, the bike has a circular LED headlamp with daylights for brighter and wider illumination. Furthermore, it emits the light beam with an inclination angle of 25 degrees on the inner curve for better visibility in the dark. Also, the rear end is reinforced with modern-day flashing indicators made from LEDs. The classic speedometer in the instrumentation cluster further contributes to the retro design of the bike. One of the most unique parameters in the exterior is the black-painted front wheel cover, which ideally cannot be found in other BMW models.  

The front end of R NineT Pure model is reinforced with a telescopic suspension having 125 mm of radial diameter. It offers an excellent rigidity that riders can experience while cornering or braking from high speed. However, had it been a USD telescopic suspension, the stability would have been more. But nonetheless, the bike offers a comforting ride, regardless of the terrain and its uniformity. The rear end has a swing arm suspension with 120 mm radial distance. It is known for preload adjustment where the spring easily alters its elastic nature as per the load from above. Also, it absorbs the vibrations, thereby preventing them from traversing through the chassis and making the rides uncomfortable.

Powered by a 4-stroke, 8-valve, DOHC engine, the BMW R NineT Pure model is a true manifestation of power and agility. It has flat twin cylinders that contribute to reduced weight and more efficient performance as the displacement capacity of 1170cc gets equivalently distributed. The engine delivers a rated power output of 110 hp at 7750 rpm while the rated torque output is 116 Nm at 6000 rpm. Thanks to the liquid cooling system, the heat generated gets wicked away instantly, thereby protecting the mechanical parts from thermal corrosion and friction. Also, the presence of a single exhaust pipe reduces the sound, allowing riders to drive with no distractions. 

The R NineT Pure model is equipped with a 17 L fuel tank, which continues to provide power to the engine for a long time. Also, the fuel economy is further enhanced so that the model can be compliant with Euro emission standards. On top of everything, the bike comes with a Dynamic Pro driving mode where both DTC and ASC get activated much later. So, riders can now cruise along the dry tarmacs with no difficulty. 

Equipped with disc brakes at the front and rear, the R NineT Pure model from BMW exhibits high braking power. Riders won’t have to worry much about the bike moving ahead after the brakes are applied. This is one of the many reasons why on-road safety is superb and non-negotiable. The safety is further enhanced with the ABS and side reflectors. Also, an anti-theft alarm is present in the bike to notify riders about any uninvited intrusion.
