The BMW R18 Transcontinental model created a buzz in the Malaysian market after its launch and to say every hype was true would be an understatement! When I first saw it, I was instantly drawn towards the massive seat, top-notch infotainment system, and the large fuel tank. Every feature looked promising, which is why I didn’t give a second thought before purchasing it. I have been taking this beast on weekend road trips and its adaptive cruise control has become a lifesaver. What left me speechless was the unfathomable power delivered by its 1802-cc engine. However, it weighs over 400 kg, which is why city zipping is not quite easy. Yet, it’s the best option for riders like me who prefer heritage styling and comfort over everything else.
