The 2025 Kawasaki KX250X has proven to be a noticeable step up for off-road racing, especially in terms of engine character. This model previously came with a high-revving, quick engine that instantly reminded me of two-stroke power. This bike’s engine power is now more of what can be expected from a 250F off-road racer, as it comes with better low-speed usability, more torque, and easier-to-use power. I really like the close-ratio transmission for GNCC-type racing and tight woods, but for the tightest sections, first gear could be a bit lower.
