The Sym ADXTG 400’s exterior design, according to the Taiwanese manufacturer, draws directly from the image of a sabre-tooth or cheetah. The design element is emphasized by sharp side panels and angular, flowing lines. The front fascia features twin tiger-fang LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a pronounced tiger-nose styling. The upswept side exhaust and skid plate are positioned high for better ground clearance. These lend a rugged off-road posture. The cast aluminium swingarm is a rare premium touch on scooters that adds visual appeal and enhances strength. It’s exposed boldly to showcase rugged capability. The long-travel suspension upfront and a concealed mono-shock rear absorber signal adventure intent, supported by noticeable body spacing and shape. The wide handlebars with handguards are positioned high for a commanding riding stance, complete with full hand protection, ideal for off-road control and protection from oncoming debris. The tool-free adjustable windscreen offers about 92mm of vertical adjustment. Though manual, it’s generous and emphasizes practical versatility. The central console gets a full-color instrument panel that’s easy to read. Traction control and antilock braking are accessible via buttons on the panel. Other features include smart key ignition, USB socket, and pass switch.

The Sym ADXTG 400 comes with a conventional telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers, both of which have been tuned for mixed-use terrain. While not as high-end as fully adjustable setups found in premium adventure two-wheelers, this configuration is designed to offer a balance between urban agility and off-road competence. The front telescopic fork with decent travel, offers good compliance over potholes and speed bumps. The twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustment is designed to handle two-up riding and moderate luggage loads. The Sym ADXTG 400 impresses in city traffic and poor-quality roads. The suspension absorbs sharp bumps and potholes reasonably well, with minimal impact on the rider. The upright seating posture, wide seat, and natural reach of the handlebar enhance comfort during long commutes. The low center of gravity and plush seat cushioning further contribute to rider ease in start-stop traffic. On highways, the Sym ADXTG 400 maintains composure even at a high speed. The suspension doesn’t float or wobble when encountering expansion joints or mid-corner bumps. But because of the scooter’s relatively short wheel travel and road-biased tires, high-speed ride quality isn't as plush as larger adventure bikes.

The Sym ADXTG 400 is equipped with a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 400cc engine that produces 35PS/37Nm. The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The dual balancer shafts minimize vibration which is rare in scooters of this class. It offers smooth power delivery. The variable valve timing smooths low–mid–high rev range performance, making throttle response more linear and flexible. While not as torquey as twin-cylinder big motorcycles, the Sym ADXTG 400 offers strong acceleration for an automatic adventure scooter, particularly in the mid-range. Power and torque are sufficient for fire trails or gravel roads. The CVT unclutches easily when revved. The dual counter-balancers make a noticeable difference in reducing engine vibration, especially during prolonged rides or on uneven surfaces.

The Sym ADXTG 400 gets a 275mm disc brake with a radial-mount four-piston calliper that lends strong braking power and excellent modulation. The rear wheel gets a 233mm disc with single-piston Bosch antilock braking calliper. Equipped with dual-channel antilock braking on both wheels, the Sym ADXTG 400 ensures solid anti-lock performance.

At a starting price of RM 29,888, the Sym ADXTG 400 is a fairly priced bike in its segment. It stands out as a bold and capable adventure-scooter that blends rugged styling with practical performance. Its upright stance, off-road-ready features, and comfortable ergonomics make it a unique proposition in a segment dominated by traditional motorcycles.
