Motul 7000 4T launches in Malaysia – New formula for everyday riders

KUALA LUMPUR:  Motul has officially launched its all-new 7000 4T motor oil in Malaysia, taking over from the outgoing H-Tech 100 range with a more advanced, regulation-ready formula.

While it carries a new name, the goal remains familiar—offering dependable, high-performance lubrication for daily motorcycle riders across all types of usage.

This fully synthetic oil is designed to work across a variety of four-stroke engines, whether you’re on a lightweight city commuter or a larger-capacity touring bike.

It comes in four viscosity grades—5W40, 10W30, 10W40, and 10W50—to suit different riding styles and engine demands. It’s engineered to deliver smoother throttle response, cleaner engine operation, and greater wear protection over time.

According to Motul, the 7000 4T is built around uniform synthetic molecules that help reduce internal engine friction. This improves overall efficiency and allows the engine to run cooler, especially useful in Malaysia’s hot climate and stop-go traffic.

Riders can expect smoother shifting, reduced oil burn, and more consistent performance under heavy use.

It meets both API SP and JASO MA2 standards, which means it’s fully compatible with modern wet clutch systems and protects against issues like clutch slippage or premature wear—common concerns for daily riders.

Motul also highlights that this upgraded blend supports cleaner combustion, better fuel economy, and helps extend engine life without requiring shorter service intervals.

On the sustainability front, the 7000 4T now comes in a bottle made of 50% recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable—part of Motul’s broader effort to reduce its environmental impact without compromising product quality.

The oil is now available nationwide in both 1-litre and 1.2-litre bottles. It’s suitable for both older and newer engine designs, including fuel-injected and carbureted models, making it a flexible choice for riders who value reliability, practicality, and performance without having to dive deep into technical maintenance.
