Yadea Velax arrives in Malaysia - Wades through 300mm water with ease

KUALA LUMPUR: Alongside the QJMotor SRK250S naked bike, Mforce Bike Holdings Sdn. Bhd. also introduced a new Yadea e-scooter in Malaysia, the Velax. It is an affordable and eco-friendly two-wheeler that brings a modern design, generous range, and practical features to the table, making it a smart choice for urban riders.

This new Chinese e-scooter is priced at RM 7,099 (excluding road tax, insurance or registration). Making it more affordable is the MARiiCas programme, which offers buyers a rebate of RM 2,400.

The new Velax e-scooter is available in three colour choices - Blue, Black and Grey.

Yadea Velax power and range

The new Yadea e-scooter is powered by a 2 kW electric motor that kicks out a maximum power of 3.2 kW and a peak torque of 172 Nm. The e-motor is paired with a 72-Volt 30 Ah LFP battery, offering a driving range of up to 105 km, and a top speed of 62 kmph. 

Speaking of charging time, the battery takes approximately eight hours for a full charge and six hours to reach 80%.

Notably, the motor and battery of the scooter have an IPX7 rating, which means they have been tested and certified to be water-resistant to a specific standard. Both can ride through water up to 300 mm deep and can even survive being accidentally submerged in up to 1 meter of water for a short time. This makes the Valex monsoon-ready for Malaysian road conditions.

The Yadea Velax is now available at all authorised MForce Bike Holdings dealerships nationwide. Each purchase comes with a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects, with spare parts available through MForce Bike Holdings’ online portal.
