The lean profile of the Yamaha 135LC Super Sport is something which comes handy while tackling the worst of the urban traffic with ease and comfort. The slim tyres, as well as thin body profile of the 135LC Super Sport, makes it feel nimble and agile to ride.
For an entry-level moped, the Yamaha 135LC Super Sport’s 135cc single-cylinder engine is quite powerful and refined. The power and torque figures are in the league of a 150cc scooter, which gives it an impressive power to weight ratio.
The cost consciousness of the Yamaha 135LC Super Sport is evident with the absence of many modern features in the moped. The 135LC Super Sport lacks any of the trendy features like LED lights, digital meters, which makes it feel a bit old fashioned and built to cost.
While the single piece seat of the Yamaha 135LC Super Sport is long enough to seat two adults, the limited width and lack of cushioning makes it feel uncomfortable for longer commutes.

As one of the most liked cubs in the country, the Yamaha 135LC has never seen a drop in its fame since its launch in 2006. And why would it when it offers style, reliability, and performance in a single package that costs RM 6,868 only. Yamaha 135LC fits in high demand slot just above the 100-cc commuters and below the more performance-oriented 150-cc sports kapchais. This slot also makes it affordable. Hong Leong Yamaha Motors freshen up the look of the underbone last year; the significant changes include a revised instrument panel, an engine cowl, some air scoops, a stylish horn cover, new engine protection cover, and new colour schemes.
The recent facelift has enhanced the elegant look of the bike. Its flashy-looks with bright graphics and loud colour shades clearly aimed at youth with energetic appeal and trendy character. Upfront, the underbone poses an angular appearance with LED pilot lights and chin spoiler. The taillight also gets a redo with a secondary high mounted brake light. This goes flush with the new grab handle while also increasing visibility for extra safety.
Placed on either side, the new air scoops not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also improve its aerodynamic efficiency. The new horn cover hides the horn entirely and, surprisingly, makes the 135LC look sportier. The four available color options are Blue, Red, Black, and Silver.
Coming to the dimensions, the bike is 1950 mm long, 695 mm wide, and 1040 mm tall. It has a short wheelbase of 1250 mm and a minimum ground clearance of 130 mm. There are 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 70/90 tires at the front and 80/90 tires at the rear.
The seat is a comfortable single piece with a spacious utility box underneath. The console on the Yamaha 135LC Super Sport is analogue.
The bike is lightweight at 105 kg. And it is not only the acceleration where the lightweight works in its favour, but it is also the handling. Riding the Yamaha 135LC is a breeze. Most of the riders would find it very friendly and approachable. Besides the weight, the compact dimensions also allow it to be ridden with ease.
Yamaha 135LC suspension setup incorporates a monocross suspension in the rear and a conventional telescopic in the front. This gives the bike confident handling to carve through city traffic and also the stability for high speeds on highways.
The aggressiveness is not just in looks as this underbone carries enough grunt in the 134-cc 4-valve single-cylinder engine to justify its looks. The engine is carbureted but does use liquid cooling while also using a DiASiL cylinder for better cooling and fuel efficiency.
The engine churns out 11.97 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 11.79 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Power is delivered to the rear wheel through a four-speed rotary gearbox with an automatic clutch. Yamaha does not offer the choice of manual clutch anymore, but this does not impact the bike's performance.
The bike is truly meant for sporty performance and has a linked type shift pedal for quick gear changes. Power delivery is swift, as can be seen through the antics of the hooligans on these bikes. It can return a fuel economy of 45 kmpl, which signifies the fact that it can run 180 km with the 4-litre fuel tank.
Yamaha has equipped the 135LC with a front disc brake so riders can have enough stopping power whenever they need it. The large 267 mm diameter disc brake comes with a single-piston setup. Although the rear wheel has a drum brake, braking is sufficient for most purposes. The tyres measure 70/90-17 and 80/90-17 for the front and rear, respectively.
Yamaha 135LC efficiently bridges the gap between a fuel-efficient commuter and a fun, high-performance bike. It is really the best of both worlds, which gives a fierce competition to Sym Sport Rider 125i, Honda EX5, and Benelli TNT 135.
The Yamaha 135LC Super Sport is the perfect package for people looking to buy a sporty motorcycle for daily commute purposes. I have been riding the scooter for almost eight months, and I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The scooter is well-designed, with a really aggressive and stunning cover design. The bike has a really solid suspension system that
I usually prefer travelling to my office by car, however, there are times when I prefer riding on my Yamaha 135LC because it is a treat to have while moving through traffic. This bike handles exceptionally well, which is why I am able to cut through traffic quite easily. The engine is very powerful and refined and comes mated to
This bike is quite sleek and slim. Thus making your way even through dense traffic will not be a big deal for you once you possess this unique bike. In fact, this is known for its agile riding capacity. You will love riding this bike both for leisure and at work on this. I am happy that I have decided
I had been looking for a stylish moped that would not only meet my need for daily commuting purposes but also become very efficient in terms of managing and fuel. To top it all, all I needed was a good looking motorcycle that would be accompanied by a decent performance and carry comfort. The Yamaha 135LC is one of the
I know a lot of people who are into design and performance so much that they need a big engine even inside a scooter. I am not one of them and use a moped scooter for the purpose of commuting only. That’s why I chose to buy the Yamaha 135LC more than anything else. It is not very stylish and
For an entry-level moped, you are very less likely to find a better option than the Yamaha 135 LC in the Malaysian motorcycle market. I was looking for such a motorcycle for daily commute purposes. A motorcycle that delivered a decent performance and sustainable fuel economy, was easy and comfortable to handle and maneuver through the terrible traffic in Malaysia,
The Yamaha 135LC looks best in the back and blue color combo. I own the same color and though it is not in the stealth black color, it does loot that much attractive with its design. It does not have a lot of rough styling elements and looks soberer than most of the mopeds out there. The big wheels make
For a moped, the Yamaha 135 LC looks quite smart in its design, while not being too extravagant and edgy. It still has some sort of modernity with a good mix of curvy and angular body panels, which make it look like a vehicle from today’s generation. The design of the Yamaha 135 LC might not be a great head
I got my hands on the latest 135LC Super Sports that was launched only a few months back. One of my friends has the old model, and this one is a huge improvement and has much to offer. The new model features engine protection cover, side panel air scoops, front cowl horn cover, and a new instrument panel. Its 135
I am an avid sports lover. So when I thought of buying a bike, no doubt it is Yamaha 135lc super sports that have struck my mind instantly. Every time I ride it proves me so right about my choice to buy this. The appropriate curve and lean profile of it is worthy enough to be mentioned which is the
