Harley-Davidson launches three exciting new models in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Harley-Davidson has introduced three new motorcycles in Malaysia - the all-new Street Glide, Road Glide, and CVO Road Glide ST, redefining the touring experience for local enthusiasts.

    The 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Glide and Road Slide are powered by an upgraded version of the 1,917 cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine. The cooling system of the mill has been improved and the intake and exhaust flow have been optimised to boost performance. It now generates a maximum power of 103 hp at 4,600 rpm and a peak torque of 176 Nm at 3,250 rpm. 

    The bikes come with four selectable riding modes – road, sport, rain, and custom, allowing riders to customise different parameters according to their preferences and riding conditions.

    Both models also showcase a striking new design with striking visual elements flowing from front fenders to saddlebags. The revamped fairing and updated aerodynamics significantly reduce helmet buffeting at highway speeds, with an average reduction of 60%. The seat has also been improved for extra comfort, especially on long trips.

    The new Harley-Davidson Street Glide and Road Glide also benefit from a new 12.3-inch TFT colour touchscreen, powered by the Skyline OS. The riders can access a full range of electronic rider aids through this large screen. As for the immersive audio experience, the bikes come kitted with a new 200-watt amplifier that powers a set of fairing-mounted speakers.

    The new tourer models are also lighter than their predecessors and come with an increased rear suspension for smoother rides.

    Coming to the Harley Davidson CVO Road Glide ST, which is touted as the most responsive and sophisticated performance bagger on the road. The bike features a premium West Coast Custom styling with a solo seat and moto handlebars positioned on six-inch risers, lending it a distinctive and upscale aesthetic.

    At the core of the CVO Road Glide ST lies a 1,977-cc Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output V-twin engine, which is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 127 hp at 4,900 rpm and a peak torque of 193 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

    The package also comprises SHOWA rear shock absorbers with remote reservoirs and inverted 47mm SHOWA 1×1 forks, along with premium Brembo braking components and Selectable Ride Modes. Additionally, it features a full-colour touchscreen mated to a 500-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system.
