Triumph Tiger Sport 660 launched for just RM49,900

KUALA LUMPUR: Motoradic Sdn Bhd, the official importer of Triumph Motorcycles in Malaysia, and its subsidiary Fast Bikes Sdn Bhd has just unveiled the all-new Tiger Sport 660 with an interesting accessory package. This adventure sports motorcycle was first teased in mid-2021 and then with a global launch just months later.

This middle-weight adventure motorcycle comes into a growing segment in Malaysia at a launch price of RM49,900 (excluding registration). It rivals the likes of the Kawasaki Versys 650 Tourer Plus which is selling for RM38,528 and the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT which is priced at RM37,989 something to worry about.

Weighing in at just 206kg, it makes a good starter motorcycle for new riders. With its long-distance touring capability, seasoned riders will want to accessorize it.

The 660cc powerplant in the new Tiger Sport 660 brings Triumph’s triple engine performance advantages over a twin-engine with its low-down torque, combined with strong mid-range performance, and incredible top-end power.

Peak torque of 47lb-ft at 6,250rpm and its peak power is 80hp at 10,250rpm making this Tiger Sport 660 the most powerful bike in the class right now. This guarantees great acceleration in any gear, even when carrying a pillion or progressing swiftly through traffic.

It delivers the perfect balance of thrilling usable performance from low down in the rev range, all the way to the red line. Power delivery is managed by a sophisticated engine management system with ride-by-wire throttle for a precise and responsive feel, while the slick 6-speed gearbox has gear ratios optimized for fun and all-around everyday ride-ability.

The 660 triple engine’s distinctive, deep exhaust note is delivered through a short and minimalistic underslung stainless-steel silencer.
