Built on the same platform as the existing Scrambler 400 X, the XC version adds a few key features to set it apart — both in terms of looks and rugged performance.
That includes side-laced wire-spoked wheels with lightweight aluminium rims and tubeless tyres, a higher front mudguard, a small flyscreen, handguards, and extra protective hardware such as an aluminium sump guard and engine bars.
The wheels themselves are 19 inches up front and 17 inches at the rear, giving it a more capable stance for dirt and gravel routes. The XC also rides on Metzeler Karoo Street tyres, while its suspension setup includes 43mm upside-down forks and a rear piggyback monoshock, with 150mm of travel at both ends.

Ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, and a dedicated off-road ABS mode are all carried over, as is the six-speed gearbox with a torque-assist clutch.
Visually, the XC will be offered in three new colours — Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White — all featuring blacked-out Triumph logos, tank infills, and two-piece rider/pillion seats. The overall design echoes Triumph’s larger Scrambler 900 and 1200 models, but in a more approachable package.

A USB-C charging port is included, along with full LED lighting, signature DRLs, and slim indicators.
Paul Stroud, Triumph’s Chief Commercial Officer, noted: “The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC has been a huge hit with customers in India and there is clear demand for this model across the rest of the world too. With improved off-road capability and Scrambler attitude, plus three new, stylish colour schemes, we hope this model will appeal to even more riders, further enhancing and extending the appeal of the Triumph brand for the next generation.”

The bike also benefits from class-leading 16,000km service intervals and a two-year unlimited mileage warranty. A full catalogue of over 20 accessories will be available for riders who want to customise their XC further.
With its accessible seat height, off-road-ready ergonomics, and rugged equipment, the Scrambler 400 XC offers a bit more edge for those looking to leave the tarmac behind. Expect to see it in showrooms from September 2025.
