Yes. It retains two-channel ABS and traction control, and both systems are now switchable.Rather than a cosmetic refresh, this update focuses on refining areas that owners have highlighted since the model first launched.

The most obvious upgrade is the new 7-inch TFT-LCD touchscreen. This represents a clear step up from the outgoing Standard variant’s monochrome LCD display. While the previous SE already featured a 7-inch TFT-LCD unit, the updated model now explicitly adds touchscreen functionality, giving the interface a more modern and interactive feel compared to before.
The Vanguard 250 now also adds an electrically adjustable windshield, allowing riders to adjust wind protection on the move. It is a practical upgrade, especially for those who switch between urban commuting and longer highway rides.

Passenger comfort has been addressed through an extended exhaust cover, providing better heat shielding for the pillion. This is paired with revised pillion footrests, aimed at improving stability and comfort during longer journeys.

The seat has also been redesigned, not only for improved touring comfort but also to help riders achieve better reach to the ground at a standstill. For many riders, especially those of average height, confidence at traffic lights matters just as much as cruising ability.
At the rear, the updated Vanguard 250 now features an adjustable rear absorber, allowing riders to better tailor the suspension depending on load, whether riding solo, carrying a passenger, or travelling with luggage. This adds a layer of flexibility that wasn’t previously emphasised.

While ABS and TCS were already present on the outgoing model, the updated version places greater emphasis on rider control, particularly for those venturing onto mixed surfaces beyond smooth tarmac.
There is also a redesigned engine cover, intended to improve ease of maintenance, a small but ownership-focused refinement.
When the Vanguard 250 first arrived, Aveta positioned it as something slightly different from the typical 250cc scooter formula. It combined touring comfort with adventure-inspired styling while retaining daily practicality. The company described this approach as creating an “Adventure Touring Crossover” segment locally, bridging urban mobility and longer-distance exploration.
For this 2026 update, Aveta says the refinements were shaped by owner feedback gathered through community rides, dealer networks and aftersales insights.
Photo from Aveta“The Vanguard was created to expand what a 250cc scooter could offer,” said Steven Lim, Group Managing Director of Aveta Motor Malaysia. “Our riders embraced that vision and built a strong community around it. By listening closely to their feedback, we continue to refine the Vanguard and strengthen the Adventure Touring Crossover segment we pioneered.”
The upgraded Vanguard 250 will be offered in Nano Green and Desert Bronze, with nationwide availability beginning early March 2026.
