I wanted something cheaper than Grab for daily trips, so I used the test program to rent the BMW CE02. Even though it looks like a toy, it has more quick torque than scooters on Jalan Sultan. Range is pretty good: about 80 kilometers with a mix of riding styles and heavy blasts in Sport mode. Plugging it into a regular three-pin socket overnight is easy; the condo has no charging stress. The low seat and footrests that look like skateboards make it fun for beginners, but people have to cling oddly. Although the price seems high and the suspension is stiff over brick speed bumps, the lack of petrol and road tax bills somewhat softens the blow.
