Lighter multitool that loves tight corners
When I traded in my old Versys for a new Multistrada V2, I immediately felt the weight difference. Moving around in the basement of my house is now easy. The 937 cc twin engine gives a smooth, easy-to-control punch that's great for passing trucks on the old Tapah road. The suspension is soft enough for rough farm roads but firm enough to handle sharp turns. My 168-centimeter inseam still makes the seat height hard for me at 830 mm, but being thinner around the middle helps. The fuel range goes up to 350 kilometers, so you won't have to stop to refuel on your way to Penang. I miss the radar tools on the V4, but I like how cool and light the clutch is. Overall, it's a great all-around partner for trips.
