Malaysia April Sales Charts
Kuala Lumpur: We bring to you the detailed spectification table for overall vehicle sales data for the month of April, courtesy paultan.org. The car industry of the country as such experienced a humongous 32.7% drop in the month of April when compared to March, being able to sell just about 45,187 units compared to 67,314 units sold in the prior month.
This drop could be explained significantly because of pre-GST sales promotions, because of which the drives which were supposed to be bought in April, significantly got pree bookings in March, and this reduced the demand in April to a significant extent.
The table below will refect clearly that the best selling car company is Perodua which was able to sell off 17584 cars this month. Unexpectedly, Proton has climbed down even further selling only 4972 cars in April. The second and third place in the line-up is acquired by Honda and their arch-rivals Toyota selling 6562 and 6032 cars each. Protobn sales have decreased by well over 50% in April compared to last month, while for the other three the extent of decrease lies between 16% to 31%. Now, the question that arises is will Proton be able to climb back in the second half of the year.
