
KUALA LUMPUR: The sales report for the third quarter of the year is out for UMW Group and it reveals a pretty good picture. With a total of 93,972 units sold, both UMW Toyota and UMW’s associate brand, Perodua, registered higher sales compared to Q1 and Q2 2022.
Both Toyota and Perodua, during Q3 2022 fulfilled their outstanding orders which proved to be a big contributor to total sales figures.
Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, UMW Holdings Berhad President and Group CEO said, “The demand for both UMWT and Perodua remains strong, as evident from the encouraging sales registered in 3Q 2022. Furthermore, the outstanding bookings for UMWT and Perodua remain robust, and both companies will continue to intensify production to hasten delivery to our customers. Supported by an improving supply chain and barring unforeseen circumstances, we are confident of achieving our sales targets for the year. We would like to express our appreciation and thank you to our customers for their continued support of our products and services.”

Overall, the first nine months of 2022 proved pretty good for the UMW Group with a total of 267,226 units delivered. This registers a 62 per cent hike over the same period last year.
