  • About Kia Malaysia

Kia Malaysia brings a new beat to the automotive industry via its ever-vibrant line-up. The automaker strives to make its customers more productive every day with its versatile range that includes hatchback, sedans, crossovers, MPV, and van. At present, Kia Malaysia manages 36 centres wherein the customer can go for new cars, used cars, aftersales, service, business sales, and mobility.

In Malaysia, Naza Group is the franchise holder of Kia Motors. Initially, it marketed rebadged version of Kia's Picanto, Carnival, Carens vehicles as Naza Suria, Naza Ria, and Naza Citra, respectively, for the Malaysian market. In May 2006 was introduced Naza 206 Bestari, Naza's version of the Peugeot 206, then in November 2006, Naza Picanto was introduced, the Naza badged version of the Picanto.

By the year 2001, Naza Group became a full-fledged automobile assembler, and it introduced the Spectra. Many locally assembled models like the Sportage, Ria MPV, and the Sorento soon became market leaders in respective segments. Taking into account the high demand for locally-assembled units, Naza, in September 2002, started the construction work of its very own manufacturing plant. In 2006, Naza Kia Academy (NKA) was established in Gurun, Kedah, it offers sales and after-sales training to employees in developmental and technical-related programs. In 2009, NKA started offering executive diplomas in the manufacturing management and automotive management process.

Currently, Kia Malaysia is busy expanding its lineup in the country. Recently, Kia Seltos was previewed in the country, and the car is expected to launch soon. It is suspected to arrive in two trim levels - standard and GT Line. The car will feature LED headlights, fog lamps, and taillights, a 3.5-inch or 7-inch instrument cluster display, passive cruise control, manual or automatic air-con system, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and keyless start.

In September 2019, Kia Cerato was spotted fully camouflaged in the country. The new Cerato displays a more dynamic design with sweptback headlights, tiger-nose grille, sweeping glasshouse, longer bonnet, and a short tail. Inside, the sedan features a floating infotainment screen and a horizontal dashboard.

In May 2019, Kia introduced two additional variants of the Picanto hatch - the entry-level Picanto KX and the X-Line. The same 1.2-litre Kappa II powers both the trims naturally-aspirated 4-cyl engine that makes 84 PS at 6,000 rpm and 122 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The mill is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.

Kia Malaysia is known for its stylish cars that are packed with smart features. Also, with its new launches and facelifts, it keeps the prospective buyers excited for its products.

    • Handles very well for an electric vehicle

It has been 18 months with the Kia EV6 and I’m delighted to report no problems or issues with this car. We only had to take the EV6 to the dealership twice to get a defective speaker replaced and for some software issues. No maintenance costs and brakes and tires are still in perfect condition. Also, there are no rattles

    • A versatile and family-friendly midsized SUV

I purchased the Kia Sorento last February and it has been one of the best investments I have ever made in my life. It rides very well. We have had around three trips over 1000 miles and this is the best vehicle I can say from my experience. The seats are well-bolstered and don't make me feel worn out even

    • Very fuel-efficient and good-looking

The Kia Grand Carnival is an elegant and spacious vehicle. For navigation, this car features a huge screen which I completely love. In the rear, it has plenty of stow areas and every seat comes with a USB port. I wish a few more pockets were there on the sides of the center console as only one big tray is

    • Poor build quality, multiple engine issues

After just eight months of ownership, my Kia Sportage broke. Even though this car has been covered under warranty, it has been at the dealership for around 18 days, and till now the parts have not been ordered yet. I have encountered multiple engine issues. It is such a tiny car that my brother and mother find it very difficult

    • A decently priced electric vehicle

I have driven many electric vehicles, but none of them have appealed to me like the Kia Niro EV. It is a decently priced electric vehicle. It is an eco-friendly choice for those looking for a sustainable transportation mode. It has a decent entertainment system and is a practical choice for day-to-day driving needs. With its outstanding features and outstanding
