  • About Hyundai Malaysia

Hyundai Malaysia is one of the most trusted and renowned automotive manufacturers in the country.  At present, Hyundai maintains over 50 dealerships spread across the nation, providing satisfactory service to the customers. The Hyundai Sime Darby Motors Sdn. Bhd. is the official distributor and Sime Darby Hyundai Sdn Bhd is the official importer of Hyundai vehicles in the country.

In the year 2004, Sime Darby acquired a 51% stake in Inokom Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (a subsidiary of Sime Darby Motors). In 2009, importation and distribution of automaker’s vehicles were consolidated by acquiring the remaining 60% equity in Oriental Hyundai Sdn Bhd. In 2010, the company’s assembly operations were centralised at the Inokom plant. Before the alliance, all Hyundai cars were assembled at two of the Inokom plant - Kulim, and Oriental.

Today, the automaker prides itself as one of the country’s most sought-after car companies. It is counted amongst the top distributors globally, and in Malaysia, it acquires a noteworthy market share.

This long-standing South Korean in Malaysia has some amazing cars; the list includes the Elantra, IONIQ Hybrid, Tucson, i30 N, Santa Fe, and Grand Starex.

In December 2019, Hyundai Kona Electric was reported to be arriving in the country soon. Cohesive Mobility Solution (COMOS) will introduce the car through its official channels with Sime Darby Motors taking care of the after-sales support. In November 2019, Hyundai i30N was officially launched in the country, with only 20 units available for our market. It is powered by a 2.0-litre Theta T-GDI turbo engine that is offered in two output tunes - 250 PS at 6,000 rpm and 275 PS at 6,000 rpm.

In May 2019, Hyundai Malaysia introduced the Santa Fe in the country. The 4th-gen TM model is available in two variants - Executive and Premium, both of which can be picked with either 2.2 CRDi AWD diesel or 2.4 MPi 2WD petrol engine.

In 2018, during the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show, Hyundai introduced many cars and facelifts like the Tucson, Santa Fe, i30 N, and Kona Electric.

Hyundai Malaysia continuously makes attempts to revive its line-up as per current liking and taste. The company does the same by either introducing completely new models or by giving old units a praiseworthy facelift.

    • Futuristic look, excellent fuel economy

If I had to pick a minivan that could fit in my dream garage the Hyundai Staria would be the best choice. Even though I don’t have a large family I have many friends who are always in need of a lift to the next family outing or rugby field. With my parents getting old, I needed a minivan so

    • Not so spacious and noisy

The Hyundai Kona comes with outstanding utility features yet it falls slightly in comparison to class-leading SUVs. Its trunk has a wide load floor and low liftover height, ensuring ease of use for daily tasks. Despite having a compact cellphone tray and water-bottle-sized pockets its storage is not that diverse. Additionally, its glovebox and console box are small, restricting storage

    • Radically improvised Hyundai model

There is a radical transformation when it comes to this Hyundai model and I could spot those well. The newly upgraded version will stun you by offering a third row other than plethora of cargo compartment. The legroom that is being offered by the model is equally expansive. The model has been solely created mainly to attract those who has

    • A glitch-free car

I do not have anything to complain about the Hyundai Palisade. I have been driving it for around a year and I must say it has remained glitch-free since the first day of ownership. It remains very stable on all kinds of roads and rides smoothly. The kind of comfort it offers during long drives is amazing. Since I purchased

    • An appealing SUV with a horrible engine

The Hyundai Tucson is an appealing SUV with a horrible engine that adversely affects the ride quality. Despite its overall attractiveness, the engine's rapid degeneration, as evidenced by frightening noises particularly uphill during acceleration, has left me disappointed. This problem usually emerged about 1,000 miles into ownership with a stunning roar indicating the engine's incapability. I have taken the Tuscon
