  • About Renault Malaysia

    A French multinational automobile manufacturer, Groupe Renault has been all about innovations ever since it was established, back in the year 1899. The company is known to have a wide array of arrangements that include from selling a range of cars and vans, to manufacturing aircraft and aircraft engines.

    The brand was the brainchild of Marcel and Fernand Renault. The story of Renault started when these young mechanics decided to build his own car in 1898. It was after their first car which followed the success and Renault received his first orders. Fast forward to 1903, Renault began to manufacture its own engines

    By 1907, Renault became a designer of taxis and a significant percentage of London and Paris taxis had been built by the brand. Moreover, throughout its course, Renault has been a remark for excellent design and innovations. However, following the death of Fernand, Louis became the sole owner of the brand in 1906.

    Following its success in development and innovation, in 2013, Renault became the leader of electric vehicles in Europe. Renault’s EV range of vehicles includes Twizy, Zoe, Fluence, Kangoo. Moreover, Zoe was Europe's best selling all-electric car in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Renault had also been in the news for introducing a new line of eco-friendly cars under eco² initiative where the vehicle's materials were 95% reusable. 

    Lastly, TC Euro Cars Sdn Bhd is part of the Tan Chong Group who is the official distributor of Renault vehicles in Malaysia from the year 2004. The dealers offer assembly, distribution, and after-sales support. Renault sells around three cars in Malaysia. The lineup includes 1 Crossover, 1 Hatchback, and 1 SUV. The Captur is the lowest priced Renault model at RM 105,288 and the highest priced model is the Megane RS at RM 288,218.
