10 Most searched cars on Zigwheels Malaysia in 2025
The year 2025 was quite an eventful year for the Malaysian automotive industry, with several new launches, capturing attention from potential buyers and auto enthusiasts. And, Zigwheels Malaysia played a crucial role in helping users explore, compare and research not only newly-launched but also well-established vehicles available in the market.
We analysed our search trends and brought a list of 10 car models that were most searched in 2025.

Proton S70
Introduced in November 2023, the Proton S70 ranks No.1 in the list of the 10 Most searched cars on Zigwheels Malaysia in 2025. It also holds the No. 1 spot in the C-sedan (under RM 100k) segment in the Malaysian market. The sedan offers attractive aesthetics, good power delivery, a comfortable and tech-laden cabin, and strong safety features.

Toyota Vios
The Toyota Vios has been winning the hearts of Malaysians with its comfortable and practical daily driving, a balanced set of features and low ownership cost for so long. The fourth-generation version of the sedan made its way to the local shores in 2023 with a new Daihatsu New Global Architecture platform and significant styling and tech upgrades, making it even more desirable.

Proton X50
Another model in the most searched cars’ list is the SUV that has been topping the charts in the B-segment SUV category for 5 consecutive years. We are talking about Proton’s best-selling SUV, the X50. The model gained a massive following since its debut in 2020, and its recent version took that momentum forward with a more appealing design and innovative tech, targeting younger buyers.

Proton Saga
Proton’s longest-running nameplate and the best-selling car, the Saga, ranked fifth in the list of top 10 most searched cars on Zigwheels Malaysia. The sedan’s winning formula is its value-for-money package, proven reliability, and improved quality over time. A total of 74,013 Sagas were sold in 2025, marking its highest sales since 2011.

Honda City
The ever-popular Honda City is also one of the most searched cars on our platform. The sedan combines style, technology, and practicality that make it a compelling choice for a diverse range of buyers.

Perodua Myvi
The Perodua Myvi, which has been ruling the Malaysian roads since its introduction in 2015, is also among the top-searched cars on our portal. Called the ‘true Malaysian icon,’ the hatchback stands out with its excellent fuel economy, affordability and surprisingly spacious and practical cabin, making it a hot favourite among daily commuters and budget-conscious buyers. The Myvi is the third best-selling car in Malaysia with a total sales of 64,486 units (as of November 2025).

Rounding off the list is the Perodua Ativa, which has been a smart choice for urban drivers and first-time SUV buyers in Malaysia since its launch in 2021. It is a reliable, versatile and fuel-efficient SUV and comes equipped with strong safety features.
The Perodua Ativa is available in three variants - X, H, and AV, with prices ranging from RM 62,500 to RM 73,400. All are powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of generating 98 PS and 140 Nm.
