Mercedes-Benz Malaysia records highest sales and Customer Satisfaction Index in 2018

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has come up with a record-breaking sales figure for the year 2018. The company has broken its own record of highest sales for the fifth time in a row. The President and CEO of MBM declared this exciting news in a media statement.

The luxury German company also achieved the highest CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) along with this record in history. MBM also performed very well in executing customer satisfaction with the brand’s excellence.

Claus Weidner, the aforementioned representative of MBM said that 2018 was another successful year in the 15-years-extended journey for the company. He also said, “Our efforts to invigorate the brand experience for our increasingly diverse fans have been fruitful. We are happy to retain our position as the number one luxury lifestyle brand.”

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia managed to hit a record sales of more than 13,000 units, almost double the figure in 2014. However, the company did not disclose the individual sales performance of all the current models. However, one can safely assume that the launch of the new C-class (C200, C300 and C43) in 2018 could be the main reason behind the high sales. Apart from this, some other key products were also launched in the year - the CLS class, a new range of S-class, all-new A200 and A250, and a fresh-new Mercedes-AMG G63.

Reportedly, the smart move to include the locally-assembled Mercedes-AMG 43 Series to get a better stock at a lower price point has proven to be a successful strategy. As per the VP of Sales and Marketing at MBM, the company managed to sell over 500 units of AMG models, which implies an increment of 114% over the past year. Besides, this record sales figure were also achieved by the support of an assembly plant in Pahang, Pekan, where the best-ever production of over 9,800 units was done.
