The front-mounted 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 petrol engine produces 639 bhp of power and 900 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an electric motor mounted at the rear, which produces 204 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque and channels power produced to the rear wheels via a separate 2-speed transmission and an electronically limited slip differential.

There is an additional electric motor at the front, which is positioned between the engine and the primary 9-speed automatic transmission and produces 14 PS power for the electrical system of the car. With this entire setup, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E-Performance claims 843 bhp of maximum power and 1400 Nm of maximum torque, making it the most powerful car from Mercedes-Benz.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E-Performance also claims an electric-only range of 12 km up to 130 kmph from its 6.1kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged externally via a 3.7kW AC charger.
