2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 4MATIC+ Coupe launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has launched its latest powerhouse in the Malaysian market - the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT63 4MATIC+ Coupe. This four-door coupe combines luxurious comfort with exceptional performance, setting new benchmarks in the segment.

The Mercedes-AMG GT63 4MATIC+ Coupe price starts from RM 1,882,888 (on the road, before insurance). Let’s take a closer look at what this German beast offers at this exorbitant price tag -

New underpinnings

The latest GT63 is based on a new chassis borrowed from the Mercedes-AMG SL. The car measures 4,728 mm in length, 1,984 mm in width, 1,354 mm in height, and spans a 2,700 mm long wheelbase.

Aerodynamic exterior styling

The coupe features a bold exterior styling with a distinctive AMG Panamericana radiator grille bracketed by side vents, which actively manage airflow. The Airpanel system features vertical slats behind the lower front grille and horizontal ones behind the upper intake. The vehicle gets lowered by 40 mm (at speeds above 80 kmph) to increase downforce through a Venturi effect and thus improves high-speed cornering. In addition, there is an active aerodynamic element located in the underbody in front of the engine.

The front also incorporates round LED headlights with three “light dot” day-time-running lights. The rear looks equally impressive with aggressive-looking quad tailpipes, an F1-inspired retractable rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser. The LED tail lights follow the same pattern as the front and add to the overall styling.

Other key highlights include - AMG Night package II, flush-fitting door handles, 21-inch cross-spoke forged rims, panoramic sunroof and Yellow AMG brake callipers.

Sporty cabin with AMG DNA

The interior is wrapped in carbon fibre trims, highlighting the vehicle's sporty character. It houses a flat-bottomed AMG performance steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles. With a 2+2 seating configuration, customers get electronically adjustable AMG sports seats.

The tech package comprises a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch central infotainment display, a head-up display, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and an 11-speaker Burmester sound system.

Mighty engine under the hood

Under the hood of the new Mercedes-AMG GT63 4Matic+, we can find the familiar 4.0-litre Bi-turbo V8 paired with AMG Performance 4Matic+ fully variable AWD system, and an electronic rear limited slip differential that automatically controls the amount of torque sent to each rear wheel. • AMG Active Ride Control suspension, which continuously adjusts suspension settings based on driving conditions.
• Rear-axle steering, which improves agility in tight spaces and stability at high speeds.
• Dual-circuit hydraulic braking system for consistent and safe braking performance.

Advanced safety 

As for safety, the vehicle gets the brand’s Driving Assistance Package comprising adaptive lane keep assist, Distronic Plus with cross-traffic assist, adaptive high beam, evasive manoeuvre support. Also part of the kit is a Guard 360-degree vehicle protection plus, tyre pressure monitoring system and Active Parking Assist.
