Watch latest video reviews of Porsche 911 to know about its interiors, exteriors, performance, mileage and more.
Highly regarded as one of the best driver’s cars of all the times, the Porsche 911 Carrera has evolved all these years beautifully in terms of style and performance while keeping the original attributes in a balanced form till date. The all-new Porsche 911 Carrera is available with a host of exterior paint schemes, interior upholsteries and trims, alloy wheels and a single petrol automatic powertrain.
While the exterior design might not have undergone a drastic change in its design, the Porsche 911 Carrera has an all-new cabin layout which looks much fresher and futuristic than before.
The three-spoke multi functional steering wheel is the same as before, but it goes well with the five pod instrument console behind it, which now feature full TFT layout. The vertically laid dashboard’s centre console has a nice looking flat touchscreen infotainment system right in the middle.
The lower centre console of the dashboard looks sleek and minimalist with toggles like switches and rectangular AC vents below them, from where the centre transmission tunnel starts flowing. This tunnel too has been revised with new controls for gear lever and climate control settings.
The Porsche 911 Carrera has seen very little changes to its original design in all these years, and while the current iteration looks sleek and modern, the fact that it still has got the original design still intact without any significant changes might be a turn off for some.
However, for those who value the timelessness of the Porsche 911 Carrera, the latest iteration looks classy with its minimalistic approach. The front look simple with the round headlamps setup now incorporating LED projectors with refreshed daytime running LEDs. The wide layout of the front bumper does feature large air dams throughout its width and sleek lamps on the upper corners of them.
The side profile of the Porsche 911 Carrera has got that unmistakable sloping down coupe-ish profile of its predecessors. However, it looks in its most contemporary form yet with the two-door look, door-mounted rearview mirrors and flared wheel arches.
The Porsche 911 Carrera looks the most distinctive when viewed from the rear. While the new generation model has the same sloping down large windscreen at the rear, the boot now gets a new theme for the tail lamp assembly. There is a fine thin strip of LED lamp running across the width of the rear, which joins the sleek LED tail lamps and comes with the new logo of Porsche placed in the middle below it. The fin-like design for the bottom of the windscreen and quad exhaust pipes add to the visual drama of the car.
The Porsche 911 Carrera is highly regarded as a true blue driver’s car, and there are multiple factors contributing to this title. The sports coupe is blessed with traction management and torque vectoring plus, which enhances the vehicle’s traction in optimum levels on the application of brakes. The active suspension management, stability management, rear-axle steering and dynamic chassis control all work together to make it a drivers delight to the core.
The standard Porsche 911 Carrera is fitted with the most basic engine of the lineup, which however is not basic by common standards. The 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine is mounted at the rear and paired to Porsche’s 8-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic gearbox, it produces a peak power output of 385 PS and a peak torque output of 480 Nm.
Being a high-end sports car, the Porsche 911 Carrera is bestowed with airbags all around, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, lane-keeping assist including traffic sign recognition, lane change assist with turn assist, night vision assist, front and rear park assist, reversing camera, and park assist with surround view.
With an outstanding powertrain and a range of excellent electronic driving aids, the Porsche 911 Carrera ranks in the highest order of sports cars. The traditional styling might not be of taste to those who value the latest of gadgetries over core aspects, but still, the Porsche 911 Carrera still has got the snob value to tackle the latest of sports cars and trump them in several areas.
Widely known for its super classy productions that are ripping of roads with their cutting edge functionality, the Porsche is giving some hardcore competition to the other biggies of the car industry! Porsche has already been doing great in Malaysia coming with a bunch of excellent four wheelers. 911 was never really in my shortlisted vehicles for its price tag.
I truly did not expect the Porsche 911 to deliver this kind of performance and power. To be honest I was a fan of its design and bought it for the unique appearance and its name in the segment. Although the car has turned out to be exceptional and unbelievably powerful with a bi-turbocharged, flat-six, 3.8-liter petrol engine that produces
The Porsche 911 is one of the most popular models from Porsche and it has been my favourite car for a long time. I recently could afford it and bought it after some really long waiting. To be honest, I am absolutely enjoying the experience. The car looks splendid like we know and the new design modifications have done good
Honestly this car screams of class and elegance from all its dimensions. Whether I talk about the exterior features of the electrically folded rear view mirror of the adjustable headlamps or inferior features of spacious cabin and boot space, the car is a perfect blend of artistic creations. My regular travelling has become the best part of the day. Whether
The Porsche 911 has always retained its popularity in the convertible luxury car segment. Other players have come and gone but the 911 is still there and with better features every year. The 3.8-liter engine drives like a dream and the excitement you get is unparalleled. The ride and handling are impeccable even at high speeds. Need to turn a
A couple of weeks ago, while visiting my friend, I had a chance to drive his Porsche 911. Honestly speaking, the superior performance and easy handling of the car instantly made me drool over it, and I couldn’t resist but book one for myself. Apart from its handling and performance, its feature-packed luxurious cabin that includes an advanced Communication Management
The new and improved Porsche 911 has an energy and charisma that only a few can match at this price range. With an increased touring capacity, now it also has a range of useful technologies. Talking of the driving modes the ‘Normal Mode’ is where the driver will spend most of their time, and it’s in this sitting the 911
If you are in love in Porsche brand like me then you need to consider this car. I would highly recommend all potential car buyers to have a glimpse of this car. I find it to be a perfect sports car. Design wise the car has evolved a lot in diverse aspects. That makes it way special to me. If
I am that sort of driver who values fine driving dynamics over any other sidelined aspects in the truest form. In that direction, the Porsche 911 is a no brainer decision to make, for the sportscar, even after so many years, is a tough product to beat. Its evolutionary design is something which looks simple yet fascinating. And when you
