Mercedes-Benz has left no stone unturned in making the cabin of the AMG GT 4 door ultra special. The design and layout is driver-centric, and Mercedes Benz has employed top quality materials and features to justify its premium positioning.

Like in all the modern new generation models of Mercedes-Benz, the AMG GT 4 door has the 12.3-inch huge rectangular screen for the instrument console and infotainment system , which come integrated with Mercedes Me Connect. The steering wheel with contrasting silver touches looks very impressive with touch control buttons for various functions.

Another element, which makes the cabin quite distinctive is the massive V-shaped centre tunnel, which comes with colour display buttons and capacitive switches. The hand-fitted Nappa leather upholstery with piano lacquer, wood and carbon fibre interior accents lends luxury to the cabin.

Other premium features of the cabin of the Mercedes Benz AMG GT 4 door include powered, heated and ventilated front seats with 3-position memory, powered steering column, dual-zone climate control, sunroof, 64 colour ambient lighting, heated windshield washers and outside rearview mirrors, wireless charging, Burmester surround sound system and many more.

While this is a four door sedan, don’t expect a saloon like rear seat experience, for the AMG GT 4 door has limited rear seat leg room.

For AMG models, Mercedes-Benz has always gone out of the way by making the standard models wilder in appearance. However, with the AMG GT 4 door, Mercedes-Benz has went one step ahead, by borrowing the aggressive design cues of the AMG GT supercar in a sedan’s body.

The front fascia of the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 4 door looks a bit subjective, with the vertical chrome slats in the grille being not to everyone’s taste. However, the rest of the design looks very impressive with the curvy headlamps full of LED inserts and large air dams accentuating the sporty appeal of the car along with that massive grille.

The side profile of the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 4 door looks drop-dead gorgeous with that curvy silhouette and the large sporty alloy wheels. While there are not many character lines on the side profile, that doesn’t deter it in looking very beautiful.

At the rear, like in most AMGs, the Mercedes Benz AMG GT 4 door has a clean boot lid design, characterised by a sharp boot lid line and sleek LED tail lamps, which looks simple yet classy.

Delivering pure sports car experience, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 4 door has a stiff suspension setup 4-wheel multilink at the front and three-stage adaptive damping at the rear, both of which get AMG ride control sport setups and air body control with automatic 4-wheel level control. The AMG performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive setup to enhance the power distribution as and when needed.

For the AMG GT 4 door, Mercedes-Benz offers three different engine options, all of which are petrol powered and mated to a standard 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic gearbox. The smaller 3.0-litre inline-six turbo petrol in GT 53 variant produces 432 PS of power and 520 Nm of torque. The bigger 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 is available in two states of tune – 582 PS of power and 800 Nm of torque in GT 63 and 635 PS of power and 900 Nm of torque in the GT 63 S variant.
