All-new 2019 Sportster 1200 Iron showcased at Harley-Davidson Petaling Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR: Good news for the bike enthusiastS, as the 2019 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Iron is on display at the company’s Petaling Jaya showroom.

Ahmed Rano, the Head of Sales for Harley-Davidson Petaling Jaya, said “With its (2019 Sportster 1200 Iron) introduction and showcasing at the showroom, we welcome everyone to come over. This particular unit already has its owner. In addition to the Iron 1200, H-D Petaling Jaya is also hosting their 1st Anniversary Carnival this weekend, and we would like to invite everyone to come over to our showroom”

As for the bike in question, it is powered by a 1200cc Evolution 1200 V-Twin mill that is known to deliver 36 percent more torque than 883 Evolution engine that is found under the Iron 883. Thus, the Iron 1200 bring more to the table - more power and more mid-range to surpass the traffic.

Other highlighting features of the bike hailing from the Sportster family is - stain-black Mini Apple handlebar, gloss black speed screen, fast-back Cafe Solo seat, 12.5-litre fuel tank, solid chrome muffler, exhaust shields, multi-colored graphics around the tank, chrome primary, inspection, and derby covers, and dark engine finishes. Color options for the fuel tank include - Twisted Cherry, Vivid Black, Billiard White along with the Vivid Black speed screen.

The powertrain has been styled in black with the following elements sprayed in the tone - upper and lower rocker boxes, timer, exhaust and muffler shields, and primary and derby covers. Further enhancing the engine look is the tappet covers and chrome pushrod tubes. Enabling the Iron 1200 roll on the road is an all-black 9-spoke 19-inch wheel at the front and 16-inch ones at the rear.

The Iron 1200 features Harley-Davidson Smart Security System and ABS as factory-installed features.
