All-new 2021 BMW G 310 GS & G 310 R launched, check full details
KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Motorrad Malaysia has launched several new models one of which is the new R 1250 GS range that we have just discussed. Now, we are here to discuss the new G 310 GS and G 310 R motorcycles.
In case you aren’t aware, the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS are the most affordable options in the lineup. And with the latest update, they get striking visual and mechanical updates, contributing to the bike’s riding experience.
All three models - the G1250 GS, G 310 GS, and G 310 R, showcase the same design DNA as their powerful siblings - the BMW R 1250 GS and BMW S 1000 R. They come with new full-LED headlights with enhanced brightness and illumination (thanks to the three light functions: DRLs, low beam, & high beam), new metallic titanium grey engine housing covers and more. Also, part of the lineup is the BMW G 310 GS ‘40 Year Edition’, limited to only 40 units, one can trace it by its black/yellow engine cover housing.
BMW G 310 GS exterior colour options include two striking tones - Polar White and Kyanite Blue Metallic (Style Rallye), along with Cosmic Black. The new G 310 R, on the other hand, is offered in a single Limestone Metallic tone (Style Sport).
As for the motorcycles powertrain configuration, the new models are fitted with a 313 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC mill that pumps out a maximum power of 34 hp along with a peak torque of 28 Nm. The mill offers enhanced performance thanks to the anti-hopping clutch and an electromotive throttle.
The price range for the new offering starts from RM 27,500 and goes up to RM 31,500.
