BMW Motorrad has introduced the all-new R1250RS for the model year 2023. The sports tourer features several updates including new colour tones, a new lighting setup, and more.

2023 BMW R1250RS - Key updates

Engine

Powering the all-new R1250RS is the brand’s iconic 1,254 cc boxer-twin engine. It generates a maximum power output of 136 hp at 7,250 rpm along with a peak torque of 143 Nm at 6,250 rpm. Also part of the setup is Shift cam variable intake valve timing.

The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox and shaft final drive.

Performance

The above-mentioned setup allows the new R1250RS to be capable of over 200 kmph with an average mileage of 21.1 kmpl.

Ride enhancers

The list of standard features that add to the motorcycle riding dynamics include

• Dynamic Traction Control (DTC)
• Three riding modes including an “ECO” mode
• Dynamic Brake Control (DBC)
• BMW Motorrad’s version of cornering ABS

Part of the motorcycle’s optional kit is

• Riding Modes Pro with additional riding modes
• New riding mode pre-selection
• Engine drag torque control (MSR)
• Wider and higher tube handlebars

Features

The new model benefits from a revised lighting setup which includes - LED turn signals and LED DRLs.

BMW Motorrad is offering a solo motorcycle kit for the R1250RS, the Sport and Triple Black variants are available as single-seater options.

The sports tourer now features a TFT-LCD instrument panel with a ‘Sport’ core screen which provides the rider with real-time information.

Customization options include -

• BMW Motorrad’s Option 719 billet accessories
• Low and tall seat options
• Adjusting seat height to 760 mm and 840 mm (standard 820 mm)
