This is the 290-unit limited KTM BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23

KUALA LUMPUR: KTM and BRABUS, a popular Germany-based tuning expert, have been in partnership for a long time. Recently the two have announced their second collaboration in the form of the 1300 R Edition 2023.

Introduced in Hanoi, Vietnam, the KTM BARBUS 1300 R Edition 23 is inspired by the original 1300 R which was unveiled last year, with its build based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO.

The latest combo product by KTM and BARBUS is introduced in two colour tones - Superblack and Stealth Grey, each limited to just 145 units.

KTM BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23: Key highlights

• The motorcycle showcases several bespoke BARBUS components like carbon-fiber and CNC-machined parts
• Mainly looks similar to the original motorcycle except for the carbon-fiber components including the air scoops and headlights

• It gets the new BRABUS Monoblock Z forged wheels with a platinum black finish.
• A 1,301cc LC8 V-Twin engine powers the KTM BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 and generates a max power output of 180 hp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 140 Nm at 8,000 RPM

• Part of the specs kit is a WP semi-active APEX suspension and steering damper

With a retail price of EUR 42,500 (approx. RM 198k), all 290 KTM BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 are available to customers via an online pre-order website that opens up tomorrow, 16 Feb 2023.
