Triumph launches 2019 Thruxton TFC; limited to 750 units only

KUALA LUMPUR: Triumph, the popular British motorcycle maker, has added the 2019 Thruxton TFC (where TFC stands for Triumph Factory Custom) to its Modern Classics range. The motorcycle has been built in the manufacturer’s factory at Hinckley. The motorcycle is more like a Thruxton R with a black paint job and gold print stripes.

The 2019 Triumph Thruxton TFC is powered by a parallel-twin High Torque 1,200cc engine which delivers a maximum of 106 PS of power. It means that the motorcycle has a power boost of around 10 PS over the standard variant of the Thruxton.

However, the Triumph Thruxton TFC is limited to 750 units only, and each of the units will get a unique number. The manufacturer said that each motorcycle with the unique number would not be built repeatedly. The buyers will get a TFC bike cover, a personalised custom built book and a TFC handover pack. Also, the owner will get a certificate signed by Mr Nick Bloor, the CEO of Triumph.

The 2019 Thruxton TFC comes with a carbon fibre bodywork. The front mudguard, one-piece carbon fairing, seat cowl, silencer end caps and heel guards are all made of carbon fibre. The top yoke is made of aluminium. It has billet-machined aluminium oil filler cap, leather seat with detailed stitching, brushed nickel mirror centres and a tinted screen.

The vehicle also gets a black paint job throughout. The engine covers, Öhlins RSU shocks, a tail tidy and anodized spoked rims are included in the list. The two-wheeler is only available in the black colour body with gets gold stripes. The bike maker claims that the Thruxton TFC will be available in this model year only and it will not be facelifted in the near future. It gets a starting price tag of USD 21,500, which amounts to RM 88,930 approximately.
