Vespa designates Didi Resources as its official Malaysia distributor

KUALA LUMPUR: The Piaggio Group has officially declared to appoint Didi Resources Sdn Bhd as the official distributor of Piaggio & Vespa in Malaysia. According to the reports, Didi Resources Sdn Bhd will replace the previous dealer,

Naza Premira Sdn Bhd. Moreover, the group appreciates the continuous support and brand-building efforts since 2010 provided by Naza Premira Sdn Bhd.

“The appointment of Didi Resources is part of Piaggio’s business strategy to group the Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands under a single entity to maximize efficiencies across all aspects of the business and reinforce customer commitment in Malaysia. With the Piaggio Group brands under one roof established under the Motoplex concept,

we are able to better offer a wider range for potential customers who seek an enriching Italian two wheel experience backed by style, technology, superior performance and rich heritage. We look forward to collaborating closely with Didi Resources to push forward the brands to greater heights,” said the Executive Vice President of Asia Pacific 2 Wheeler and General Director & Chairman of Piaggio Vietnam, Mr Gianluca Fiume.

According to the Chairman of Didi Resources Sdn. Bhd, the company is very honoured to get the opportunity to manage Vespa and Piaggio, along with handling Moto Guzzi and Aprilia. Moreover, the company is dedicated to growing the sales by strengthening communication and marketing efforts, contributing class-leading aftersales support, and ensuring exceptional engagement with the brands.

The official reports state that the agreement of the distributor will be effective from January 1, 2020, for service, sales, and spare parts.
