The Aprilia RS 457 is an amazing bike. In the sub-500cc segment, it is the best bike. However, it has a few flaws. For a 5L bike, the quality of switchgear feels cheap and the first to third gears are clunky, though the fourth to sixth is butter-smooth. A jerky quick shifter and gear shifts can be annoying, and something that is very noticeable is brake fade. Its abundant torque and punchy performance make it a joy to ride. In the 6th gear, the pull from 50kmph to nearly 200kmph is quite good, and the comfort is enhanced by the light clutch. After 4500rpm, the exhaust note is intoxicating.
