Mercedes-Benz V-Class Marco Polo to launch in India on February 6
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it will be launching the V-Class Marco Polo in India at the Auto Expo 2020 on February 6 along with a few AMG models. The luxury, tech-laden camper is likely to be launched in an extended wheelbase form with multiple seat configurations. This will be the first luxury campervan in India.
Internationally, V-Class Marco Polo is available in 4- and 5-seater variants. While the former comes with a smaller bed and kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator, a stove, an inlet for water, a foldout table and an auxiliary power plug, the 5-seater variant gets benefitted from a three-seater couch and a bed extender. The front seats can be swivelled backward. The electronically adjustable pop-up roof comes with a tent.
The luxury campervan comes with a host of connected features under the Mercedes Me app. Then there is a Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system and ambient lighting function that can be controlled via your smartphone.
Under the hood, it is expected to be powered with the V-Class’s 2.0-litre BS6 engine that churns out a max power of 163 PS and a peak torque of 380 Nm. The expected transmission responsible for powering wheels is the 9G-Tronic automatic.
