KUALA LUMPUR: Nissan reiterated its commitment to electrification by unveiling four innovative new energy vehicle (NEV) concepts at the ongoing 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

Starting with new energy vehicles to be based on the concepts unveiled today, Nissan will build a balanced product portfolio of diverse and competitive new models. Our aim will be to provide a more exciting mobility experience to all customers in China.”

    Let’s take a closer look at each of the new Nissan EV concepts one by one.

    Nissan Epoch Concept: It is an electric sedan designed for people for urban and suburban customers. This concept car features an AI-enhanced Internet of Things, which means it can connect and control smart devices. It also comes with a virtual personal assistant that uses artificial intelligence to communicate with people in a way that recognizes emotions, making everyday life easier and more comfortable. 

    Nissan Epoch Concept:

    Nissan Epic Concept: It is an electric SUV designed specifically for active city couples who enjoy weekend adventures. The concept vehicle is equipped with autonomous driving capabilities, assisting the driver in the city as well as on highways. It also features several other advanced technologies for a relaxed cabin environment and can act as a mobile power source for outdoor activities.

    Nissan Epic Concept:

    Nissan Era Concept: It is a hybrid SUV designed for urban commuters and young professionals who spend a lot of time in their cars. It features an advanced entertainment system with seamless connectivity, zero-gravity seats, an e-4ORCE all-wheel control system, and active air suspension, all combined to deliver a confident and enjoyable driving experience.

    Nissan Era Concept:

    Nissan Evo Concept: It is a plug-in hybrid sedan designed for weekend getaways and family adventures. This concept vehicle also offers advanced driver support and safety features. One unique feature is its AI-enhanced virtual personal assistant, which helps customise the driving experience based on your preferences and needs. 

    Nissan Evo Concept:

    In addition to these exciting reveals, the Japanese automaker confirmed the arrival of one more new electric car in China by 2026.

    It also displayed the Nissan Hyper Force concept and Nissan Hyper Punk concept during the show, which premiered at the Japan Mobility Show last October. Nissan also rolled out a new brand campaign, “Excitement by Ni”, aligned with its motto, “In China, for China.”

    All these efforts suggest that Nissan is ready to make a substantial impact in the Chinese electric vehicle market.
