2025 Honda Gold Wing Tour unveiled for Malaysia; priced at RM 222,888

KUALA LUMPUR: Did you know that the Gold Wing Tour from Honda was first introduced back in 1975? Thus marking the anniversary of this naked motorcycle from Honda this year. Over the years, the Gold Wing Tourer has evolved to better serve the needs of the riders and has created a benchmark in the industry for quality, luxury, and comfort.

To honour the millions of kilometres the Gold Wing enthusiasts covered during these 50 years, Honda unveiled the all-new 2025 Gold Wing Tour at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025. And here we’ll be discussing this very bike, known for freedom in motion and luxury in detail. So, let’s begin -

Powertrain & performance

Powering the 50th anniversary edition of the Gold Wing Tour is a powerful 1833 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 24-valve SOHC flat-six-cylinder engine making 131 hp at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The power is transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). It gets a 21-litre fuel tank, which ensures the rider has a smooth, effortless ride.

The 2025 model features double wishbone front suspension, an electronically controlled damping system, and electronically adjustable rear spring pre-load with four settings. The features enhancing the bike's performance include -

• Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT)
• Dual Combined Brake System (D-CBS)
• Lightweight ABS modulator and brake ECU
• Large twin front discs with six-piston callipers, and a rear disc with three-piston callipers
• Throttle By Wire (TBW)

Styling

The 2025 Honda Gold Wing Tour is built in conjunction with the model's 50th anniversary celebration, and therefore, the same reflects in its styling. For instance, it gets a 50th Anniversary emblem with Gold Wing logo and ‘50th Anniversary since 1975’ badge. Other design highlights include -

• Sharp bodylines, aerodynamic detailing
• Electrically adjustable windscreen with stepless adjustment for both height and angle
• Impressive 212 litres of storage space - rear top box for rider and panniers on both sides, with additional space
• All LED lighting with dual LED fog lights
• Riders and passenger seats will have distinct ergonomic zones and a pillion backrest made out of luxurious suede-effect and synthetic leather.

• 7-inch, full-colour TFT liquid crystal display with Home Bar and gyrocompass

Safety

The Gold Wing Tourer is not just about luxury and performance, but it also offers world-class safety. For instance, it features an integrated airbag system that includes the airbag, inflator, and crash sensor. Other safety features include -
