Here’s the Ducati Panigale V2 special edition model dedicated to Troy Bayliss

KUALA LUMPUR: Troy Bayliss, is a true Ducati icon in the two-wheel motorsport world and the motorcycle company has all the plans to treat him right with a special edition model - the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship Anniversary.

This special edition Ducati Panigale V2 as mentioned is a tribute to the legend, Bayliss, who won his first WorldSBK championship title in 2001.

The special edition Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary model is inspired by the Ducati 996 R that Bayliss rode to several victories. It is essentially a Panigale V2 with a number of updates giving it better track-conquering power - all to celebrate the number 21’s contribution over the years.

Over and above the standard model, the special edition Panigale V2 is packed with - a single-seat tail setup, the brand’s signature tricolour (used by Troy in 2001), Lithium-ion battery, Troy’s signature on the fuel tank, premium Ohlins suspension kit (NX30 front forks, steering damper, & TTX36 rear shock), along with dedicated Ducati Performance accessories and more.

Power details?

Powering the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship Anniversary model is a 955 cc V2 Superquadro engine that makes a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm along with a peak torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm.

The machine will blitz through the corners smoothly with quite a soundtrack thanks to inclusions like carbon fibre/titanium exhaust silencer.

The Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship Anniversary model is a limited production series, however, we aren’t sure how many will be out there in the open.

Price?

Though Ducati hasn’t released a figure yet, we are sure that it will be priced more than the standard Panigale V2. In Malaysia, the standard Panigale V2 retails for RM 109,900.
