KUALA LUMPUR: Boon Siew Honda, Honda Motorcycle Malaysia's official distributor launched the RS-X CUB in November 2021 and ever since has maintained its reputation of being dapper. It packs sporty styling, advanced features, and superior performance. What else it can get, we thought. But taking the bar higher is the all-new Honda RS-X Repsol edition.

    Design

    The special edition RS-X features the iconic, every-so-powerful Repsol livery over the CUB’s aerodynamically designed full cowl appearance, aggressive front fascia, dual LED headlights, and sleek taillight.

    In short, the already superb-looking RS-X has now become even more irresistible.

    Engine

    No mechanical changes are done. The special edition RS-X is powered by the tried and tested 150 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC, EURO4 compliant engine. The unit generates a maximum power of 15.8hp at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 13.6 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive.

    Breaking and suspension

    Like the regular model, the special edition version utilizes single-channel ABS with braking function taken care of by a single hydraulic disc at both ends.

    A smooth ride, as usual, is assured by conventional telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear.
