At the core of the new Honda Transalp lies a 755-cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, which churns out a maximum power of 90.5 hp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 75 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox mated to an assist and slipper clutch system.
The engine delivers smooth, responsive power across the rev range in both city and off-the-beaten-path conditions, claims Honda.
Design
Based on a lightweight steel diamond-style main frame, the new Transalp features a redesigned front end inspired by the Africa Twin. It boasts all-new, bold dual LED projector headlights that not only enhance the bike’s commanding road presence but also offer improved nighttime visibility.
