Triumph Malaysia reveals the price of new Tiger 1200

KUALA LUMPUR: Triumph Malaysia’s sole distributor, Fast Bike Sdn Bhd has announced the official price of the all-new 2022 Tiger 1200 range of the local market.

Chief Executive Officer of Fast Bikes Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Razak Al-Malique Hussain on the introduction of the Tiger 1200 range said, “We are anticipating that it will become an exciting year ahead not only for the brand but all motorcycle enthusiasts with this new line-up of models which offers the best proposition in terms of performance, the level of equipment and value.”

As per Fast Bike Sdn Bhd official statement, the Tiger 1200 range will be offered in two variant options - the GT Pro and Rally Explorer.

New Triumph Tiger 1200 powertrain

Powering the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 is a new T-Plane crank mill that previously powered the Tiger 900 range. This 1600cc unit generates a maximum power of 147 hp at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 130 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Compared to the previous generation model, the output figures are up by 8.5 hp and 8 Nm.

Triumph Tiger 1200 features

The new Triumph Tiger 1200 is created to be lighter and is a much more powerful ADV motorcycle with class-leading specs and handling, both on- and off-road.

The 2022 Tiger 1200 GT Pro gets a 19-inch front & 18-inch rear cast aluminium wheels, 20-litre fuel tank and a semi-active Showa suspension.

The range-topping Rally Explorer, on the other hand, comes with a 30-litre fuel tank, innovative blind spot detection system, 21-inch front & 18-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels. All this along with a higher-spec kit and added electronics.
