Details of the Next-gen Suzuki Hayabusa leaked

KUALA LUMPUR: The next-gen Suzuki Hayabusa is on its way much to the excitement of the speed freaks. Reliable sources have confirmed that the manufacturer is silently working on the next generation Hayabusa in Japan. After completing two successful decades in the global market, launching the next-gen Hayabusa will be a perfect gift to all its loyal fans.

Suzuki Hayabusa Side Profile

According to some patented images, which have recently surfaced, one can see that an external semi-automatic gearbox is in works. This semi-automatic gearbox has an external sensor, which works in tandem with a servo to get the gears on the shift. This is to make the ride more convenient for the riders.

The upcoming Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle is expected to get either a turbocharger or a supercharger. However, the manufacturer will decide upon it depending on what would be easier to fit in. The Japanese company may even use the same engine as the previous generation model, albeit a bigger capacity engine. This would be taking the maximum power delivery to over 200 bhp.

The new generation Suzuki Hayabusa may continue to be built on the iconic egg-shaped design philosophy. However, the aesthetics may be slightly tweaked to get the aerodynamic bar higher. Moreover, the biggest letdown of the previous Hayabusa models, that is, the lack of proper electronics, will be addressed in the next generation model. The new model would be getting cornering ABS, multi-level traction control and wheelie control.

We don’t know the exact price tag of the upcoming Hayabusa, and so have to wait for an official word from the company. However, we can expect it to be competitive and in line with the other motorcycles in this superbikes’ segment. The current generation Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle has a price tag of RM 83,500.
