WMoto Island 150 scooter launched in Malaysia at RM 6,688

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's two-wheel market has just welcomed a new contender in the form of the WMoto Island 150 scooter. Developed to meet the needs of daily mobility, the latest WMoto model combines modern style, optimal comfort and advanced technology.

• As the name suggests, the WMoto Island 150 is powered by a 150-cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of generating a maximum power of 15.4 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 N · m at 6,500 rpm. 
• Power is sent to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox and a belt final drive system.
• The scooter runs on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped with 110/70 front wheel and 130/70 rear tyres.
• It measures 1,940 mm in length, 745 in width and 1,130 in height and spans a wheelbase of 1315 mm. The seat height is estimated at 764 mm.

• Key features include - LED headlight with daytime running light, LED tail light, an interactive digital instrument panel, keyless entry system, tyre pressure monitoring system, a 9-litre fuel tank, anti-slip seat, a utility hook, and a front storage pocket.
• Handling the suspension duties are telescopic forks at the front and twin preload-adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. 
• The braking is managed by single hydraulic discs at both ends. These are complemented by a two-channel anti-lock braking system.
