Malaysia gets a new futuristic scooter, the WMoto Nexy+180

KUALA LUMPUR: Mforce Bike Holdings Sdn Bhd has expanded the diverse WMoto lineup in Malaysia with the launch of a new scooter, called WMoto Nexy+180. The latest model features a modern, angular design and advanced features, set to challenge Japanese dominance in the mid-range premium scooter segment.

WMoto Nexy+180: Price

The WMoto Nexy+180 is priced at RM 8,988 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration) in Malaysia. Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

WMoto Nexy+180: Engine and transmission

The new WMoto scooter is powered by a 174-cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, four-valve engine that kicks out a maximum power of 18.2 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 17.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox with a belt final drive. 

WMoto Nexy+180: Design

The Nexy+180 sets itself apart with a futuristic mecha style, featuring sharp body lines and numerous geometric angles. It has a compact yet large-format scooter footprint with a length of 1,970 mm, a width of 770 mm, and a height of 1,150 mm. The seat height is measured at 765 mm.

Key design highlights include a bold headlight, a sturdy windshield, diamond-style hand grips, a premium seat, and dual front storage pockets.

The WMoto Nexy+180 is now available at all authorised MForce Bike Holdings dealerships nationwide. Each purchase is accompanied by a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects, with spare parts available through MForce Bike Holdings’ online portal.
