Here's what we know about Lamborghini's upcoming car

KUALA LUMPUR: Lamborghini is going to unveil a new model tomorrow, i.e., on the 8th of July. Though the carmaker has not yet revealed the upcoming model's name, we have tried to guess it by taking clues from the teasers.

Initially, the automaker dropped a teaser poster, wherein two phrases caught everyone's attention - "AHEAD OF ITS TIME" and "NEWEST CREATION". However, both gave us different ideas as to what is about to come. For example, the former provides us with a hint that Sian FLP 37 is coming, while the latter seems to tell SCV12 is on the cards. It all changed today morning when Lamborghini posted another teaser image, clearing the matter further.

 

The latest teaser shows a pair of air-channeling winglets that resembles with the Sian FKP 37. Lambo's website shows a second teaser revealing the upcoming car's rear end, which on closer inspection reveals hexagonal exhaust pipes, 3-piece taillights, and fins at the end of the deck lid. All these are reliable clues that hint towards Sian FKP 37 variant, but we don't know anything for sure.

The automaker is known to offer performance upgrades for its cars, like Performante trim of the Huracan and SV variant of the Aventador. Thus, making a beefed-up version of Sian a possibility. Seeing the past releases, Lamborghini takes at least ten months or so to introduce a models' performance version, but we wouldn't mind an early unveiling. The Sian convertible version, likely called the Spyder, is the most probable offering on cards.

The Sian Syper won't be a traditional offering, as the layout suggests a Targa-style version with a removable top made up of carbon-fiber. Under the hood, we expect a 6.5-litre V-12 mill with a 48-volt motor. The unit delivers 807 hp of combined power (774 hp and 34 hp, respectively) and allows the car to hit 100 kmph mark in just 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 350 kmph.
