Lamborghini Huracan Spyder

Lamborghini has only tweaked the basic interior of the Huracan Spyder in all these years with minimal updates. In the process, the interior of the supercar has now become more tech-savvy than the original layout of the supercar from 10 years ago. The minimalist cabin has enough tech to complement its edgy exterior design.

Lamborghini has followed a futuristic approach for the cabin of the Huracan Spyder, with its driver’s cockpit having a flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel. This tech-rich steering wheel has big paddle shifters and a large full TFT instrument console placed behind it. The cabin is wrapped with Alcantara leather, with inserts of carbon fibre all around the cabin.

The slanting centre console of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder looks cutting-edge with two protruding trapezoidal AC vents above it. The highlight of this slanting centre console is the 8.4-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system, which also accommodates touch-controlled settings of automatic climate control and other driver-oriented features. This slanted centre console also houses toggle switches for various other controls, along with the massive button for the engine start-stop feature.

The Huracan Spyder is a pure Lamborghini in every sense, and that is quite evident when you have a glimpse of the exterior design of this supercar. The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder comes with a soft top for the convertible roof, which opens up in around 15 seconds for the hair-raising open-top motoring experience. 

Carrying the traditional Lamborghini essence of having a low-slung stance with sharp lines and creases all around its design, the Huracan Spyder has a sharply raked front profile, with the windscreen and slanted hood at the same angle. This aerodynamic appeal of the Huracan Spyder is further enhanced by the angular trapezoidal headlamps, which have sleek-looking double Y-shaped daytime running LEDs and LED projectors within them. The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder has an equally sharp-looking front bumper which has aggressive-looking air dams throughout its width.

When looked from the side, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder impresses with its extremely planted stance with lowered ground clearance and the huge 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped with ultra-low-profile tyres. The Huracan Spyder has an almost rounded roofline, along with massive air ducts positioned above and below the rear fenders. These design elements of this convertible supercar make it look drop-dead gorgeous and enhance its aerodynamics at towering speeds. 

The rear profile of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder features a sharply raked rear profile with a windscreen, the visibility from which is highly restricted. This windscreen has stepped air vents on both of its sides, with the massive V10 engine placed beneath it. The Huracan Spyder has sleek-looking Y-themed tail lamps, which are all LED units and sit between the sharp and edgy-looking panels. 

The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder is underpinned by a suspension combination of fully independent aluminium double-wishbone at the front and rear, which combined with the electromechanical Lamborghini dynamic steering with variable steering ratio and all-wheel steering mode, makes this supercar a thrilling experience at higher speeds and around corners. The supercar also has carbon-ceramic brakes as standard for halting duties, while the 20-inch Pirelli P Zero low-profile tyres add to the charismatic driving experience of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder.

The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder now belongs to the rare breed of supercars in the modern era to source their power from a naturally aspirated petrol engine. This car has the same 5.2-litre V10 engine, which powers the rest of the models in the Huracan range, which here makes 640 PS of maximum power and 600 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and enables the Huracan Spyder to cover the 0 to 100 kmph sprint in 3.1 seconds and attain a top speed of 325 kmph.

While the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder might be missing several sophisticated safety features offered in a similarly-priced fully-loaded premium sedan or SUV, it covers the basics with six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, front and reverse parking sensors, reverse camera and electronic stability control.

With the iconic naturally-aspirated V10 engine, cutting-edge looks and impeccable chassis with sport-tuned suspension and braking setups, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder rightly deserves all the fame and desirability for it.
