2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade unveiled
KUALA LUMPUR: The Japanese bikemaker, Honda has pulled the cover off the all-new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade at the ongoing 2019 EICMA, which is held between November 5th and 10th. As the bike will be a part of the World Superbike Championship, it gets a sporty design along with a powerful engine.
The CBR1000RR-R shares the chassis and bodywork with the Honda RC213V-S race replica and its inline-four engine is capable of churning out a maximum power of 214 hp, which comes at 14,500 rpm, while the peak torque is at 113 Nm at 12,500 rpm. With the use of titanium connecting rods, finger-follower rocker arms and forged pistons, it is pretty clear that the race technology is applied here.
Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade comes with a lot of rider aids with wheelie control, engine braking, power and HTSC (Honda Selectable Torque Control). It comes with the Showa made three-level electronic steering damper along with second-generation Ohlins electronic suspension and up-and-down quick-shifter.
Moreover, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade specs sheet includes a 5-inch TFT display, which can be controlled by a four-way switch placed on the handlebar’s left. It comes with Honda’s Smart Key system and the adjustable Start Mode, which is also known as launch control.
The Bosch six-axis IMU replaces the older version's five-axis unit. The bike weighs around 201 kilograms. Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade colour options include Matte Pearl Black and HRC-inspired Grand Prix Red.
It is the 330 mm diameter discs, which are clamped by the Brembo Stylema callipers to take care of the stopping duties. Furthermore, the usage of two-level ABS makes braking efficient.
The all-new Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade will be out for delivery in June 2020. However, the bikemaker has not revealed the price tag yet.
