KUALA LUMPUR: The new Kawasaki ZX-4R made its global debut last February and since then we all have been waiting for the motorcycle ASEAN debut. Now, finally, it has entered the Thai market via the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show.

In Thailand, Kawasaki is offering the ZX-4R in two trim options - Standard and SE. They are priced as follows

Powertrain
Powering the new Kawasaki is a 399 cc inline four-cylinder engine generating a maximum power of 77 PS (in the base trim). The output rises to 80 PS when the Ram-Air intake is fully pressurized.
The ride is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. The chain final drive transmits power to the rear wheels. The SE model comes equipped with an up-and-down quick-shifter as standard.
Braking & Handling
Braking is taken care of by twin 290 mm diameter brake discs clamped by four-piston calipers at the front along with a 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear with two-wheel ABS as standard.
Suspension, on the other hand, uses a Showa SFF-BP fork with 37 mm diameter fork legs and is adjustable for suspension preload for the SE. The standard model gets non-adjustable fork legs. At the rear, both the variants get mono-shock with preload-adjustment.
