Yamaha Malaysia introduces new colours for the YZF-R25

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has announced a colour update for its lightweight super sport motorcycle, the YZF-R25. The 2023 Yamaha YZF-R25 is now offered in two hues - Midnight Star and Racing Blue, making it a perfect combination of style and performance.

The all-new Midnight Star option comprises striking purple and pink shades while the carried forward option from last year's model features a combination of blue and black paired with golden forks.

Apart from gaining new colours, the Yamaha YZF-R25 continues to feature the same design and equipment. The MotoGP-inspired design boasts the aggressive dual LED headlights underlying its pure R-series DNA. Parts of the equipment pack are - 

• 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 front and 140/70 rear tyres
• Striking trapezoidal LED tail light
• Fully digital instrument cluster
• Telescopic front forks and a rear monocross twin-tube unit adjustable for preload
• Dual-Channel ABS System
• Hydraulic disc, dual piston floating brake at the front and hydraulic disc, single piston unit at the rear
• 14.3-litres fuel tank

At the core of the Yamaha super sports bike lies the same tried and tested 249 cc DOHC, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that delivers a maximum power output of 35.5 hp at 12,000 rpm and a peak torque of 22.6 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox and chain drive system.

Pricing for the 2023 Yamaha YZF-R25 remains unchanged at RM 22,998 (excluding road tax, insurance, or registration). Included in the price is a two-year/20,000 km (whichever comes earlier) warranty against manufacturing defects. Each purchase is also accompanied by a complimentary Yamaha safety disc lock worth RM 100.

The 2023 Yamaha YZF-R25 is now available for viewing and purchase at all Yamaha Authorised dealers across the nation.
