Ducati introduces the next-gen Scrambler in three variants

KUALA LUMPUR: Ducati has concluded the World Premiere 2023 with the reveal of the next-generation Ducati Scrambler. The latest model will be available in three different trims - Icon, Full Throttle and Nightshift, featuring different styling and equipment list. The mechanical setup of all the new Scramblers remains the same.

    The new Scrambler lineup benefits from a ride-by-wire throttle, which means the bikes now come with riding modes, the number of which is limited to two viz. Road and Wet. Ducati has made the cornering ABS and Ducati Traction Control a standard fitment adding to the braking performance of the machine.

    Along with that, the frame and swingarm have also been upgraded with the rear subframe now featuring its bolt-on piece, which offers more convenient rider replacement or customisation. The rear axle now boasts a mono-shock with standard Brembo brakes. The bike rides on an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel wrapped with Pirelli MT60 RS tyres.

    Also new for 2023 is a new pair of LED lighting with a prominent ‘X’ signature and a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display mated to the Ducati Multimedia system and Bluetooth connectivity. The automaker offers nine different tones for the new steel tank along with other accessories such as mudguards for a customised mix and match

    Scrambler Full Throttle: This model is the sportiest in the range and comes with a clear flat-track inspiration and a standard quick-shifter and Termignoni exhaust. Decked up with a race-inspired GP19 Red/Dark Stealth livery, the bike also houses a number #62 badge paying tribute to the original scrambler unveiled in 1962.

    Scrambler Nightshift: With cafe-racer styling, the new Scrambler Nightshift features an elegant design and ergonomics. It is kitted with flat-set handlebars, blacked-out spoke wheels, side number plates, small LED indicators, and minimal front mudguards.

    Scrambler Icon: The base-spec Icon comes with new, lower handlebars, and a redesigned tapered seat. Ducati offers customisable options for the bike’s headlight covers, wheel tags as well as mudguards.

    Powering the 2023 Ducati Scrambler lineup is an 803-cc, Ducati Desmodue L-twin engine, which cranks out a maximum power output of 73 PS at 8,250 rpm and a peak torque of 66.2 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a revised transmission setup with a hydraulic slipper clutch.
