Enhancement of charging and usage environment
Honda has been implementing several initiatives to address long charging times and inadequate range issues. After Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand, the automaker has begun offering a battery-sharing service in India through its local subsidiary, Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt. Ltd. (HEID). This will enhance the popularity of electric bikes powered by swappable batteries.

The company is also working towards strengthening after-sales services and maintenance while leveraging its strong sales network in India.

Reduction of the cost of ownership of electric motorcycles
One of the challenges associated with electric vehicles is the cost of ownership. To address this, Honda will price its EV models in a way that the ownership cost over three years will match that of ICE models. And to achieve this, it is set to establish a dedicated electric motorcycle production plant in India in 2028.
Reutilization and recirculation of batteries
As for realizing carbon neutrality, the Japanese automaker is conducting various initiatives including secondary use and recycling of batteries. It has collaborated with OMC Power in India to repurpose used batteries in off-grid areas.

In a nutshell, Honda aims to become the leading company in the electric motorcycle market by offering a wide variety of e-bikes that cater to customers’ diverse needs.
