Recent Updates of Hyundai Accent
It seems like the Accent nameplate is under plans to make a comeback in the Malaysian market. Currently on display at the KLIMS 2018 is the fifth-gen Accent sedan. The same Hyundai sedan was seen for the first time earlier this year at the Canadian International Auto Show. Though nothing has been made official yet, Accent’s mere presence speaks a lot about its prospective arrival. On its arrival, the Accent will give fierce competition to the likes of Toyota Vios, Mazda 2 Sedan, and Honda City.
The on-display sedan bears a 1.4-litre Kappa MPI four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 100 PS and 132 Nm. Sending power to the front wheels is a six-speed automatic gearbox. In looks, the Accent sedan looks like a scaled-down version of the Elantra. Hyundai Accent’s spec sheet includes elements like a 3.5-inch TFT LCD color instrument cluster, single-zone climate control, 5-inch head unit, LED DRLs, and more.
