Its ‘Discover Pro’ system can combine navigation and connectivity with in-car-entertainment. Everything can be controlled via a large 9.2-in touchscreen colour display. For smartphone integration, there is Apple CarPlay. VW has also added voice control.

Turbocharged engine

2020 VW Passat specs have only a single engine option available - a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged engine that produces 188 bhp of max power and 320 Nm of healthy torque which is available from as low as 1,500 rpm. The power delivery is smooth yet punchy whereas the low-end torque helps in a better pickup and excellent mid-range performance. Mated to this engine is VW’s DSG (direct shift gearbox) which ensures a smooth, hassle-free, and relaxed drive. It has been tuned to provide an optimal balance of performance and mileage. Talking about mileage, VW claims that the Passat is capable of returning 6.5litres per 100 km.
